"Nice ship, but the entertainment fell short"
I’ll be honest, I expected a bit more from cunard. The ship itself was lovely, but the entertainment just didn’t really do it for us. A lot of the shows felt quite old fashioned and a bit samey, and on some nights we were rushing around trying to find something worth going to, only to end up not that impressed. It didn’t ruin the trip, but it definitely let the overall experience down a bit.

"I booked with Cunard thinking it would feel…"
I booked with Cunard thinking it would feel like a real treat and, the ship was beautiful and the staff were great. But I felt a bit embarrassed when the drinks, WiFi, and little extras started adding up so quickly, especially after I’d told myself the price would be worth it. We still had a decent time, but for what we paid, I expected a bit more to be included. I’m not totally sure it was the best value compared with other cruises.

"Honestly, the ship was in great shape"
I’ve got to say, the ship looked really well kept the entire trip. Everything felt clean, taken care of, and actually maintained, which somehow feels like a big ask these days. No random broken stuff, no dirty corners, no “we’ll get to it eventually” vibe. It was just nice to be on a ship where it felt like people actually cared about keeping things in good condition.

"Nice staff, but honestly a bit all over the place"
The staff on Cunard Line were mostly polite and friendly, so it definitely wasn’t a disaster or anything. But wow, it felt weirdly inconsistent. Some people were absolutely lovely and couldn’t do enough for you, and then others seemed like they were in a massive rush or just not that bothered. Nothing actually awful happened, but for the price, I was expecting everything to feel a lot more seamless. Instead I found myself thinking, “Is this supposed to be the fancy experience?”

"Pretty much confirmed my worries about Cunard excursions"
I booked two shore trips through cunard, they kind of confirmed what I’d already suspected, that the excursions aren’t really worth the money. Both felt poorly organised from the start. The meeting points weren’t very clear, different staff members were telling us different things, and we spent way too much time just standing around waiting with no updates. The places we visited were lovely, so it wasn’t a total loss, but the whole process around getting there made it more stressful than it needed to be. For the price, I really expected things to run much more smoothly.

The site looks good overall, and I was able to find the cruise info I needed after clicking around for a bit. The search filters were fine, but a few pages loaded slower than I expected, and I did end up hitting back a couple times to get where I wanted lol.
The booking steps were mostly easy to follow, but comparing prices and cabin details could definitely be smoother. It wasn’t a bad experience, just felt a little awkward on my phone.

I was expecting a chilled, relaxing cruise, but the whole vibe onboard was dead as hell. Everything felt flat and kind of old-fashioned, like the place had forgotten how to have fun. The bars were weirdly quiet, there was barely any energy anywhere, and even the staff seemed like they couldn’t be bothered. It felt like everyone was just counting down the days until it was over. Maybe some people are into that sleepy nonsense, but for me it was boring, dull, and definitely not worth the money.

The formal nights kind of took the fun out of it for us. We were hoping for a relaxed holiday, but the dress code felt really strict and a bit over the top. What made it more annoying was that there wasn’t really anyone to speak to about it properly — everything felt automated or handled without any real human contact, which just made the whole thing more frustrating.

"Smooth from Start to Finish :)"
Embarkation was way easier than I thought it would be! The staff kept everything moving, and we were onboard quickly. Getting off at the end was just as calm and well organized, with no major confusion or stress. It really made the whole trip feel so much more relaxed from beginning to end :)

"The loyalty perks actually made a difference"
I wasn’t expecting much from the loyalty points, to be honest, but they ended up making the trip feel a lot nicer. I got a few onboard perks because of them, and while they weren’t anything wildly over-the-top, they were the kind of little extras that make you think, okay, sticking with this company is actually paying off. It’s one of those things where you don’t really notice the value of the program until you’re on board and realizing you’re getting benefits just for having booked with them before.

"Cunard account still doesn’t work properly"
I’ve had such a frustrating time trying to use my Cunard account. It keeps logging me out, pages either take forever to load or don’t load at all, and half the time my booking details just aren’t there. Even resetting my password turned into a hassle, with emails taking ages to come through. I tried to sort it out myself, but it really felt like no one was paying attention to how bad the online experience is. For a company like Cunard, the account section feels really outdated. I just wanted to manage my trip, not spend my whole evening fighting with the website

We had plenty of deck space most days, at least from what I remember, I think it was around the middle of the week when it got a little busier, maybe Tuesday or Wednesday. The pool area did fill up at times, but it never felt too overwhelming. It was a nice spot to hang out and relax after lunch

"Nice bars, but the drink prices proved my point"
The bars were actually good and the staff were friendly, so no complaints there. But I already had a feeling the drinks would add up fast, and yeah, that’s exactly what happened. Every time I saw the bill, it kind of confirmed what I’d heard before about drink costs onboard. Overall it was a good selection and a fun experience, I just really wish the packages and pricing had been explained more clearly before we got on the ship...

"Still Thinking About That Bathroom Smell"
I just stayed here recently, and the main thing I remember is how bad the bathroom smelled the entire week. The room was dusty too, and the carpet had stains, but the smell is what really stuck with me because it was still an issue right up until I left

The ports just felt really dull to me. After I paid, I started feeling a bit uneasy, like I wasn’t sure I was actually getting what I expected. Nothing really stood out, and the whole experience left me feeling kind of disappointed.

Had to ring cunard to change a booking the lady I spoke to was a total gem. She was proper patient with me, got everything sorted quickly, and explained it all really clearly. No stress, no faff, just really nice service.

"Pre-cruise info was alright, just a bit confusing"
The pre-cruise documents from Cunard Line were mostly fine, but actually I did have to read a few sections more than once to figure out what I needed to do and when. Some parts were clear enough, while others felt a bit scattered. I did eventually find the luggage tags and check-in details, so it wasn’t a big problem. It just could be laid out a bit more simply, especially for people who don’t cruise very often.

"Good accessibility help, just a bit slow"
I booked through cunard.com and added the accessibility needs for my mum while I was doing it. The site was just easy to get around, and the info about wheelchair help and cabin options was clear enough. I liked that it was easy to find and didn’t feel tucked away somewhere.

The only reason I’d give it 4 stars is that the form pages were just a bit slow, and I ended up calling to double check everything after. The staff were helpful though, so overall it was a good experience
